My Interview with Nollywood Actor/Model Kenneth Okolie

Today our 'Man Crush' goes to the very talented,
charming and very handsome
model turned actor, Mr Kenneth Okolie!!!

Stay tuned as he talks about modelling, acting, rumors and future plans.
He also reveals, which actresses he would "Snog, Marry and Avoid" !!!

Tell us who Kenneth Okolie is?

"Kenneth Okolie is a workaholic, a dream chaser, driven, witty and passionate about what he does."

In 2010, you won the ‘Mr Nigeria’ contest. Can you tell us why you entered the competition?

"I entered the Mr. Nigeria contest because I believed I had the skill set and experience. I also entered the contest because I wanted to break into the Nigerian entertainment industry. So I put all my skills to play."

What age did you start modelling and was it something that you’ve always wanted to do?  

"I started modeling at 22, although I never planned to be a model. A friend just encourage to go with him to go take a couple of pics and submit to an agency. I was shy though. But We did and the rest is history."

In 2010, you also entered the ‘Mr World’ contest and you finished as 2^nd runner up, can you tell us more about the experience and how you felt being the 2^nd most desirable man in the world.

"The Mr. World contest was one of the most amazing times of my life. I was #1 out of 84 outstanding and handsome men from around the world (No Homo!) I knew I was there for a contest while representing my country (Nigeria), so to me it was an "All in" affair. 

I put God first in all I did and also worked hand in hand with my team (The Black Team). Funny but I was the only black man in my team lol. But we were family. So on the finale when I was crowned the 3rd Most Desirable man in the world, I was totally speechless. I couldn't believe it. It all paid off! God came through"

Of course you must get a lot of female attention, how do you deal with it?

"Well with female fans, I keep it as humble and as professional as I can. I respect and appreciate my fans a lot. They've played a huge role in my success."

Would you say winning the Mr Nigeria Contest in 2010, helped you in starting your career as an actor?

"I would say the Mr. Nigeria and Mr. World contest helped me to start my acting career. It opened a lot of doors for me in entertainment, most especially in Nollywood."

 You have been in quite a lot movies, which movie did you really enjoy shooting?

"I have been in quite a lot of movies so it's difficult to pick one out of many. But I'll say "House Husband." It's produced by Closer studios and written by Uduak Uguamanam. I co-starred with Belinda Effa and Inidima Okojie. Coming soon y'all so stay turned!"

Have you ever thought about directing/producing your own movie?

"I've thought about producing and directing my own movies someday. But I want to brush up on my directing skills some more. Even attend film school in order to understand the angles and the "know-hows" that come with directing."

You have worked with many actors/actresses within the industry, who is one person you have not worked with, that you would love to work with?

"I would love to act with Rita Dominic. I admire her personality and acting skills. She's an amazing actress. So I look forward to working with her. I hope she feels the same way too. (Covers face)"

What advice would you give some of your fans, who want to become actors/actresses?

"Well my advice to my fans who want to go into acting. It's not as easy as it looks on TV land but practice makes perfect. I need them to keep trying and keep pushing themselves to the limit for one day the spotlight will be on them and they too will be celebrated. "

Who would you snog, who would you marry and who would you avoid ?

"Lol! Well I'll Mary Nse, Snog Genevieve and Yvonne Nelson. I'm a nice guy so i won't avoid anybody."

What has to be the craziest rumor you have heard about yourself?

"The craziest rumor that I've ever heard about myself was that I'm gay. That got me ROLLING"

Do you have a celebrity crush, if yes, who?

 "I used to have tho but not anymore. "

This is a question I’m sure all your female fans have been dying to know, are you SINGLE?

"No comment!"

What is the craziest/weirdest thing a fan has ever done to you?

"The craziest thing a fan has ever done was kiss me in public while I was with an ex."

If you could do anything else apart from acting/modelling, what would it be?

"Another thing I could do asides acting and modeling would be some type of innovative entrepreneurial business. "

If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

"If I could have on meal once a day for the rest if my life, it would be Beans. I love beans." 

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

"One thing people will be surprised to know about me is that I can bake. "

Are there any new projects you are currently working on? What can your fans expect from Kenneth Okolie in 2016?

"Well yes! There are a lot of new projects coming up in 2016 and I'll be sure to reveal them all when they're set. "
